An Afternoon

I will make
a bed of clover
just for you
and serve you wine
in stemmed glasses
of cobalt blue
show you
sweet shapes in clouds
to erase past tragic
blow bubbles
from a wand
filled with magic
let sunlight
bathe you
in a summers day
all wrapped
in an afternoon
where we can stay

There is a massive ancient Oak in Audobon Park that keeps this memory for me...

(Remember how Autumn in New Orleans feels? well, at least the first "cool front" anyway)

That's how this made me feel. Thanks for the rememory.
