A storm brewing in the distance
as winds swirl the leaves of life
Thunder rolling across a meadow
carrying strong times of strife

Let the winds blow I say to you
for they shall cleanse the soul
Let the storm come, swiftly bring
cleansing rains as thunder rolls

Tops of trees sway and bend
as clouds cover the bright of day
Life retreats to shelter dark
in wait of a new and sunny day.

Let the winds carry the scourge
into the abyss from deep within
For the walls of my house thick
shall warm and protect....
and win!!!

Onward, good Knight!

Barry

The strong and possitive feeling in this,  will shelter you from life amiss.

Aha!  You do live in a fortress!
*Don't most knights?*
Excellent Barry.

Yes Nancy,  I do....but the mortar in the
rocks has been getting rather soggy lately
and I think repairs are in order....time
to bring in a crew of castle fixers or
something...HUGS..

Magnus darling heart and writer of the Knight, have you any idea how spectacular this poem is? No probably not since you entirely lack all conceit, then let me tell you darling heart it is awesome, and no I am not just saying that. Naturally the rhythm is perfect and the flow is utterly utterly spot on. Your writing is never less than perfect sometimes however even I am amazed at the beauty you mange to weave through your words. This is gorgeous, and IWIHWT.

Perfect writing darling heart absolutely perfect

Your fortress might have been battered about a bit but ohhhhhh how splendidly it still stands. I love this utterly utterly utterly love it

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the eathquake wind and fire

I really like this, Magnus, and love the symbolism.  "Win" we shall, one and all.  The comparisons to a storm were well written...especially like the part about the cleansing rains.  Perfect.
