Between Midnight & Dawn

Between Midnight & dawn,
a world is torn down.
Echoes of laughter,
no longer will sound.

A shimmer of tears,
appear in the eyes.
A heart filled with promise,
now quietly dies.

Memories that flooded
the mind and the soul.
No longer bring comfort,
they relinquish their hold.

Empty arms, not reaching,
as they use to do.
The body relaxes as
the desire fades too.

The bare facts of life,
have taken control,
Realization sets in,
A world slowly folds.

Between midnight & dawn,
is an eternity of time.
A new dawn arises,
All hope left behind.

If you can't make it so,
you need to let it go!

A very sad write, Kitty...
very effectively leaving behind
a vast emptiness...

Kitty,
Your own quote,
If you can't make it so,
you need to let it go!
Good write.

Kitty~
Written with such poignancy of feeling ...

'A shimmer of tears,
appear in the eyes.
A heart filled with promise,
now quietly dies.'

life begins at 3am, they say.

this was like watching life on mute...seeing the pictures of the city at 3am but in silence...waiting for a new day and another chance.

i enjoyed this a whole lot!

it's our struggle for identity that leaves us all unknown
