Listening to every heart

Counting Freedoms

You and I still have
freedom to work
freedom to pray
freedom to grieve
freedom to say

You and I still cherish
freedom to cry
freedom to buy
freedom to fly
freedom to try

You and I still hold tight
freedom to mend
freedom to bend
freedom to heal
freedom to feel

and in the ring of chimes that peal
You and I count freedoms, to us, still real

for they fly high with the dove
as we hold on to the freedoms we love

This is so true. But, some people aren't this fortunate. Very nicy poem, Karilea. I like it.

YES....KJ...we certainly have all of this
which was bestowed to us through the loss
of countless lives prior to our independence.

Let us never forget our freedoms....
Let us never forget how we earned them...

Happy 4th to you and your family on this
day of freedom for us all...  May we give
thanx that we live in a democracy where
we are all free...
