Looking up to me
She takes my hand
In her eyes she sees
An invincible man
Why is it, for me
I'm blessed with this gift
My precious Josie
Whose love doesn't drift
As innocent and pure
As soft fallen snow
To the ends of the earth
For her I would go
It's important to me
The smallest of things
Like her butterfly kisses
My heart they make sing
I'm taken away
Three thousand miles
I'm sorry sweet Josie
But it's just for a while
If I had a choice
And could be anywhere
For your butterfly kisses
You know I'd be there

With you

I love you most,
Daddy

Doesn't seem fair but it will be alright in the end. You'll be butterfly kissed til ya can't breathe....I can just feel it in this yearning piece.....Lot's of love in this!

Ah, Kris...there is a saying around here, if you are going to write tear-jerkers, you must give us a hanky alert...

I KNOW she is gonna love this one Kris...you ARE sending them to her, right??

Only one more week of waiting, yes?

This brings to mind one of my favorite country songs...and I've always cried like a baby hearing it...Bob Carlisle I think??

Beautiful daddy!!!

Hello Kris

This was such a beautiful, heartfelt piece of writing from a very proud father.  Your love shines through each and every word.

Take care.....Sue

Kris,
such a yearneing, aching connected piece. I know all about those butterfly kisses but for me they are from my "Love you grandma -porridge hug?" grandchild.

This is very sweet.  I read it to my daughter.  I hope you have sent this to her.  She will enjoy it.  And I do believe you have attained your goal of trying to fit in as much emotion in a few lines.  Good job.
