Silent Mind

The
mind is
silent except
for a few trickles
of language that drip
from the vastness of
its realm. Even words
are just symbols that
encompass only
a fraction

of a
thought, for
the rest of its sphere
is eclipsed by the senses ,
which leave their shadow in
it’s path. Dialogue disruptsthe

most splendid and most creative
moments that surface in a flash
of verbal lightening, which
appears so vividly, then
disappears into
the night
sky

Poetry
perpetuates a
thought, brings life to
a notion and leaves just
enough to the imagination
so that all will read the passage
in the light of a different moon.
The most splendid verse is
strung with phrases of
beauty that incite
another mind
to pull back
the curtain
of words

from off

the page

and peek

into that

which lies

in its

shadows

This was not how it was supposed to come out
Oh, well! I tried. The bottom part had a nice curve to it. Sorry

What a masterpiece, from the Lady herself!  I have missed you, and I am so glad I have missed you only because you have been creating beauty!

This poem looks hour-glass-ish to me.  Very nice flow.  You have a lot of creativity and beautiful writings, so I've been told.

Your mind isn't very silent when it comes to expressing yourself Elizabeth......More than a mere tricle when it comes to your thoughts on a page.
This is a super read!

(smiles) YAY!!! I love this, sweet friend, I just love when you make your words flow so smoothly across the page as always, you indeed make the motion happen in your words and you do it so beautifully! (kiss on cheek) This is excellent, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Elizabeth, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

When I first came here, I learned how to use imagery FROM YOU to express myself in my works and now you offer up INSPIRE as the next lesson in your class.  Beautifully penned and presented and so true are your words.  Very much enjoyed.

My mind was way too silent, so I thought that I would come back and revisit this wonderful piece of yours and of course, I had to "bump" it ... well, because I can and I don't think it was read by half the people that it deserves to be read by.
