***This is for my love, my life, my wonderful wife.  I love you, Syd!***

The Search Has Ended

I grew up in the Plains of Nowhere
looking to the horizons of adventure.
Eventually I visited the horizon
and I looked back wondering why I left,
for looking back through the spectacles of experience,
Nowhere looks mighty good.

I browsed in the Baskin Robins of companionship for a long time,
sampling the female varieties.
Many I didn't really care for,
others were initially appealing,
only to have a sour after taste.
But in my sampling of the varieties I learned what was not for me.

I walked through life with my head in the map of possibilities,
looking for the path to my dreams.
Several paths led to dead ends,
and many turns turned out to be wrong.
I decided maybe it isn't the road you travel,
but who you travel it with.

I learned from all these experiences in life.
I grew from them as well.
They steered the helm of my life
safely guiding me to my home port of call,
to where my dreams all begin...
for they all begin with YOU.

Nice! I especially liked the Baskin Robbin's analogy.

I really enjoyed this peice, For as i read my heart was dark and still hurting from recent events... but as i continued the glow came back.. even just for a second.. but dispair came again as it came to a close...

Bravo, Bravo!  I'm so happy the search has ended...and the dreams are finally reality, too!  You touch me in many ways...and the warm fuzzies keep on growing and growing and growing.  I love this writing, dear, and your abilities of expression.

Thank you all very much for your kind words.  And my wife of course most of all.  I am trying to use some of the creativety my Grandmother had and my Mother and Wife inspire.

Thanks GRM
