100 Degrees of Stress

Well you all know, or most likely do
that I sort of have this husband who
is awaiting me to get on my feet,
so he can leave me behind and finally retreat
into his world of tasty drink
and down he will, below to sink...

So I went to the doctors who's trying his best
to find a cure for what ails me, a quest
that so far four others have failed to decree
what is the problem, the cause of, you see.
But the good news I have received today
that there shows no physical problem they say,
except for the coughing I've had for a year.
It's all in my head, it's the stressing, I fear.

But the medicine's working, it's reaching my brain
and is slowing the episodes, lessening the chain
of the coughing that's heard and in a month or two said,
I should be like new and be over this thread
of bad luck, as it's been far too long in my book.
So I finished the day with some shopping that took
me a bit more than usual in time... then you see
I rushed to my home, my car to empty...

But the bad luck just keeps a threshold on me:
My house lost it's power in 100 degrees
and the almost gone husband tried to place blame,
when the doghouse he lives in lost light just the same...
But you see the whole town had it's power cut half.
So the stress just continues, and I coughed 'til I laughed
as I let what he said to me slip off with ease
and continued my evening in the hundred degrees...

M...sort of ranting

Oh, Maur....dang it all
but the med's should calm the cough
while your husband's at the trough
and your friends throw arms over shoulders
giving you strength, when you are bolder
and a cool tub of water
awaits your hot skin
I will turn my head (and not cough)
as your new life begins

all of our best here, from BP Central
to our buddy, who can illuminate any
dark night, with just the glow of her presence.

Oh Dang Maureen!
100 degrees and no air!
Cute write though..
glad whatever is causing the cough is not serious.
Take it easy and try to stay cool.

Thanks Jeff  *s
hugss to all 3 of you..

Nancy, well it probably isn't serious physical-wise but I still have to get it to stop or I will never get out of here *s
But we are working on it..with medicine that seems to be helping me sleep more and takes away the subconcious thoughts I must be harboring.

hugsss and thanks
