~* Chase Your Dreams *~

God created all around us,
from a dream He had for you.
He blessed you with a special prayer;
that all your dreams come true.

~*~

A dream is what you make it,
God painted it for you.
Dreams give your heart wings,
there's nothing you can't do.

~*~

Destiny is never defined
in journals that we read.
Dreams become our footprints,
to the places that they lead.
~*~

~* I had a dream and chased it,
believing that it was gone;
I realized it never left,
it was within me all along *~

Shopping? *L*
This is as lovely as the person who inspired it and wrote it. You two make a wonderful pairing of muse and poet.
So good to see your smiling face back in the blue.

We wish ourselves beautiful ... and cry in the night.
Its not the love you fear ... but the fall from the height.

Sharon, this is so beautiful. If only more people would chase their dreams. There are so many sad hearts in this world and I honestly believe it is because they are 'stuck in scared' and can't go after what they really want.

Maybe your words will spur someone to 'chase their dream.'   Hugs, Marti

Well, with a welcome like this I may just have to dip my pen in my inkwell more often! Thank you all for your wonderful support in this poem. This one's for "the brat" - it's almost a year since she died and I am feeling kind of sad and missing her badly.   So many of us are stuck in that place where we are afraid to try something new, or different and I can say that about her - she was never afraid of a thing, and always pushed me to be that way too.  Take hold and believe in yourself and your dreams will always become a reality.  I missed you all too, and yup - life and shopping has a way of keeping me away sometimes.
