I hitch a ride on memory's wings Soaring back through time In hopes to gaze below and see the days when you were mine The clouds below begin to part I see a darkened land The anger took away the hues Of love within your hands My broken heart weeps aloud A single teardrop falls Where's the land of love we built That once stood proudly tall? I turn around and return to now With headwinds blowing strong Touching down I realize It's here that I belong Our love is not forgotten But lives within my mind If I have to squint to see the past My heart will soon be blind [This message has been edited by Krishankins (07-02-2002 12:56 PM).] |
