Consider life
all that comes of it
over many years

Countless times
when you look at yourself
reflecting..asking..wondering
Why?  Why did I?

For so long
that image staring back
not proud, ashamed
a tear falling from
a weathered face
a tired eye

Then
One day, a cloud moved
as a ray of sun warmed my brow
a ray of hope to cast out
that which was not
the real me.

Go....a voice inside said
Go into the light that you might
find happiness, peace
pride..

A second voice...
My own, replying to one
One who knew me
part of me.

Yes...I said...I will go
Into the world and share
let others know that they are not alone
that others are like them
and that they too

Can smile at that face...

Knowing they have been forgiven.

Love this write Barry.
And it is something we all do..
look back...and maybe are ashamed of some things..
but it is so good to know we are forgiven.
Like a weight is taken off the shoulders.
Well done poet sir.

I really like this Magnus.....Love the hills and valleys of life written about within.
So true how we change and things around us change!
Good work my fellow poet!

Magnus darling heart Oh my stars how utterly utterly wonderful is this write of yours. Utterly utterly one of your utter best, the pace and the flow of this is utterly utterly superb. The images and the way you’ve drawn this show what a master craftsman you are. There is within this a sadness an ache of a soul that feels no one cares, and yet again you’ve painted the scene exquisitely. The final stanza the forgiveness is so beautifully portrayed I’m awed by it’s divinity, this shines darling heart it really shines

I love it darling boy as I always do your writing, you manage to describe perfectly the emotion with a superb flick of your pen. Excellent writing I love it utterly utterly.

Absolutely excellent I love it utterly

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the eathquake wind and fire
Oh

I have come to believe it is not God we need to fear, but our own selves, and the judgment we put on ourselves...

all He ever wanted for us was to enjoy his creations with common sense and sound mind...

Hello Barry

Your words moved me and made me feel so proud that I consider you a good friend, even though we are separated by many miles.  My newfound love of the written word has brought me so close to so many wonderful people and my life has been enriched by the words of others.  Thank you for everything.

Take care.....Sue
