I'm sorry that I don't see you as much as I would like to
Inspecting season has begun so little I'm around you
I will be travelling up and down my lovely country small
But sometimes I will peek in here just say Hello to all

I have to tell a secret though and I'm not proud of it
Last Friday I just crashed my car as true as I here sit
Was driving home from work you know, dreaming I assume
When suddenly the sky was filled with sound of a big BOOM

I hadn't noticed I must say, that cars had stopped in front
They were the bat and I the ball like in a baseball's bunt
Lucky it was only metal, not the people that was hurt
Boy oh boy was I pissed off that this dumm thing occured

And now my yellow dinky toy is wrinkled up real bad
No repair is possible, expensive as the man blunt said
She came just through inspection, new window in front was set
New headlights waiting at garage, she won't need them I'll bet

But now I need a car really fast for that's a necessity
Living here in open land, there is no bus or train you see
Well yes there is a bus, but only a few times every day
It's three mile walk to get there, so that's no option I'd say

So now I sit here...carless....no fun at all I can tell
Just spotted one on the internet that will suit me well
Luckily I saved some dow to pay for this new car here
But importation from Belgium will take some time I fear

Now you know how stupid, this dumm Dutchie here has done
I had such lovely yellow van and now poor thing it's gone
Split second of a moment and I wouldn't have come to you
I'm so glad it was only metal, for me, but for those boys too

Like scattered leaves...my words will flow

There's nothing dumb about wrecking your car and it hurts, ouch! I hope you get a new car soon. *Huggles*

I know what was really happening...you were playing with your feet and your meter got in the way!  Glad no one was hurt, and that something creative came from this...

Ahh, poor Titia…car less in the country. Well, I’m so glad to hear nobody was hurt. Though, this sounds suspiciously like the accident I had as a new driver at age 17. Not really my fault though…there were five boys jogging by…with shorts and no shirts on. Well, OF COURSE a girl’s gonna look!! I too, didn’t realize the car in front of me had stopped. So, you see…the accident was their fault not mine!! Lol

Danger...wet floor...Duncan had another accident!!! Puppy training classes to come.

That doesn't make you, a dummy, Titia. It happens....the important thing is that no one got hurt. This place would never be the same without you, for sure.

At least no one got hurt.  Thats the important thing, Titia...

and what about this Balladeer guy...
who is he to say that women can't drive...

I'm a great driver, I've only crashed my car twice in my life....
One time when I was 16 and learning...a tree happened to cross the street and walk in my path.
The other time was a few years ago when my drivers side front tire blew out and I couldn't figure out why I was skidding when there was no snow....
I ended up hitting my neighbor, almost head on and doing a great job on both of our cars.
We aren't dumb, my dear friend Titia....
but we are human...thank goodness!

Sorry about the car. But things will get better.
