It was at random we first met
Two souls drifting through space
As I read your words before me
But was unable to see your face

We typed like there was no tomorrow
Finding more in common as we went
Time for us had no meaning
So many hours together we spent

We would type our messages hastily
Eagerly waiting for a reply
Such a relationship was uncertain
For one could so easily lie

But I trusted you with my heart
As I revealed my inner soul
For so long my heart had been empty
But you'd been able to fill that hole

I felt like I'd known you forever
You promised me love and so much more
Was my life finally turning around?
Was he the one I'd been searcing for?

But one day everything changed
I guess some things aren't meant to be
You'd moved on to greener pastures
For no more did you contact me

* * *

This was written for all those
lonely hearts who search cyberspace
looking for a soulmate only to be
let down by someone they thought
they could trust

a poem that shows that the struggles of relationship also are a part of cyberspace - very well written and lots of feeling for those who lose at love there - Thanks - Paul

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Sue, this is so very sad, sweet friend, it too saddens me to see so many broken-hearted. I feel that when one is young and is a young adult that it is fine though to try and find people on-line because you can experiment and learn to practice socializing! I met my love Joanna on-line and we may meet this summer, YAY!!! (kiss on cheek) You speak of this event so well, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet ue, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
