Listening to every heart

Feeding Frenzy

My mind and heart
Empty of words
So I filled the feeders
Thus came the birds

I did laundry, separated
White from black,
Thinking “I don’t want gray”
And yet its back

So, gray surrounds me
And astounds me
Seemingly binds me
To the mast

Some days are like that
No clear decision
Just derision, a
Line thus cast

My mind and heart
Empty of cheer
I filled the feeders,
The birds came near.

YAY!!! Oh Karilea, I too always find just watching the birds and hearing them sing sweet songs always cheers me up too when it is gloomy outside! (smiles) This is a bittersweet poem, sweet friend, may the summer always sing with delight to your heart, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Karilea, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Always a pleasure to see your musings.

Through rubble and trouble and dark of night
The yawn of a dawn will hasten the light

Sometimes feeding the birds feeds the soul and I know when you are empty...filling their feeder has a dual purpose - it fills you and them up with the twitters of cheer.

Not to mention the grinning cats in the entire neighbourhood!  This was so cute!

There is nothing means more to me than
my faith, my family and my friends.

I like this, Karilea. I have too many cats outside to be able to try to bring the birds to my yard. I tied many times before I had all of these darn cats to get a hummingbird to come to my huse. But, it never came.
