The Knight

Chain mail set-aside in bate
Horse and lance wait in state
And buttercups and butterflies
Round me under sumptuous skies

I watch the weeping willow weep
With dancing leaves that seem to leap
While birds fly in and out the tree
In awe and chorus message me

Be this seem or just a dream
A wile or wish or phantom scheme
I cannot find a better way
For me to spend a pleasant day

I’ve spent a lifetime on this quest
Searching roaming without rest
Forever will not closed its door
And I’m so weary of the chore.

I’m happy here with bird and bee
I think I’ll stay this ennui.

My mind was blank and then I willed
a Knight to come, a dream fulfilled...

Seymour darling heart this is utterly utterly perfect, as always the scene you paint so artistically springs to vibrant life when you lay the canvas before me. you daub it with delight and arrange it with fine finesse, truly exquisite darling boy.

My eyes alight on your poems and I’m swept into a magic land where bees vie with flutterbys, where flowers spring up under your feet and the sun always shines in glorious wonder. Thank you for taking me on a wonderful trip again darling heart. This is exquisite writing, as always, you never serve me anything except the finest honey and the gift me with the prettiest rainbows.

I love it utterly utterly love it. Good morrow to you my fabulous friend, accompanied by a kiss, big grin

Sigh... this is a poem to read over and over again... watching the weeping willow weep...

how I love the words... and the magic behind it...

Where would we be with out your rhyme scheme dreams. And this gem of internal rhyme and alliteration inked imagery is a dreamers delight me Stinkylove...your cadence and meter danced like a butterfly as I read it aloud...for your poetic melodies must be read aloud to pay them the full justice of your art.
So? does that knight have a white horse or a randy dragon to rescue damsels in distress?
Dream on Sy-babers..we are the lucky ones who get to go along for the ride.

come, my friend, to this tree, and under
where dreams are scattered and asunder
each a chapter in our passion plays
This daydream of bold Knights and daze

wandering
wondering thoughts
gathered and organized
under the talented pen of
