I think about the things that truly matter
A disconnect of numbing games and mindless chatter
To enter into pristine fields, a sparkling state of chance
And frolic in the pleasures where by choice my heart can dance

I concentrate on senses, both obvious and not
A shedding of defenses, focused on what wealth forgot
To seek a joyous ending to the cream of every day
And capture that sweet recipe, to make along my way

I cannot seem remember, ever put within my lap
A more charming thought to carry or a better plotted map
To be nearer to the beauty as a child in open knows
In the light of so much bounty, every wild flower grows

Kathleen, I like the idea of thinking as a child again...such an innocence, so quickly lost...

nature and it's beauty....

Lovely words...silken and in a meadow of

What beauty lies within this thought,
like simple field's forget me not!

This captured me because, if I could I would have written it!

Kathleen,
how serene and innocent are the thoughts expressed here. Lovely!
