Breathless Discussions

Breathless discussions uttered in the comfort of silence
Grazing the heavens for tonights game of stellar chase
Frozen in frames of golden crests crashing my defense
Viewed on the velvet sashes of your empyreal embrace

Lyrics of salted whispers harmonize to anxious hearts
As melodies of restraint are lost to the chorus of repose
Rhythms of explore create the tempo that love imparts
As the song of us is written in tides to a tune we chose

Dreams of eternity are written on these pages of sand
Chaptered between jaded bindings of beckoning tide
Satin inks of romance flow as Venus takes her stand
Endorsing our journals of romance in celestial pride

Memories captured in the scrolls of Neptune's taunts
Forging paths of truth in the legends of ancient seas
No longer restricted to the footprints of teasing jaunts
This journey begins in these moments we must sieze

Mark Christopher

Mark hi there this is really excellent writing, I’m still working my way through your writing but I can tell you that I really do love it. I haven’t written much, in fact if mum and Krissy have their way I won’t be writing anything again. But I do love to read and if and when I get the chance to do so I make a point of looking for your poems. You are a very fine writer, and your rhyme and meter are particularly beautiful.

Excellent writing
lots of love

tonight these stars lure me to your ocean;
the royal sky imparts to my senses your sea.
beneath the mist of the moment’s emotion
this heart will contain your ardent devotee.

no longer do our nights dwell alone;
there is melody in each word sigh.
atop a mound of rapture rests the undertone
beside the waterless tears this space has cried.

Ok..the moth is here...ready to worship this properly   I can only be good for so long ya know.
Now where shall I begin...ya know ya had me from the title. *S*

Ok...all moth teasing aside...do you know how beautiful this is? How cool this is?
The imagery is over the top...ya got our head in the clouds and a full view of the moon and stars via heaven. Not to mention the ocean!! But ya knew I was gonna mention it...is this how I can hope to inspired in at the end of this summer? I dont think me muse will believe me   Now, lets talk about the personification and metaphors you worked to poetic perfection....

Chaptered between jaded bindings of beckoning tide

thats one of my fave lines....that whole 3rd verse is worth its weight in poetic gold.

again...ya give us the moon and stars and even the galaxies to express the intensity of the emotion and devotion.
And dont think for a minute I missed those alliterations:

Frozen in frames of golden crests crashing my defense
Viewed on the velvet sashes of your empyreal embrace

poetic perfection!!
This is so beautiful MC ... high inspire and its a breathtaking view...I really think this is up there as one of your best...even if ya made the moth cry

When your own emptiness is all thats getting through,
There comes a point when youre not sure why youre still talking,
I passed that point long ago.

Do ya think you can handle it?
I dunno...I'm still recovering from the last critique meeting of the minds we had...
"jade tears" ring a bell?  rofl

"higher plateau"?
you already take all the oxygen out of the room with these love poems as it is.

Why you even got the free verse frostypants to Rhyme!! how groovy is that

Do you know how utterly irresistible this verse is to know that it embodies (vulnerability) of the male species?..well, rather a very talented Man..poet..cowboy person, that is. One that I have great admiration for. It is passionately irresistible for those of us that can identify it and connect and say (Oh, that is exquisite maleness) Okay..breathe Regina...

I hope you understand my blithering here..sorry..but you say such nice things to me in regards to my poetry and I believe..that you are just too kind..for this is magic. breathless..yes.

Seriously, I do want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for that wonderful reply.  I have always said ... Mark hi there, I see my abominable sister has been here before me, well that is understandable she may be abominable but she does have taste. Only don’t tell her I said so, she’s insufferable now as it is This is excellent writing, it really is the flow is as soft and as smooth as silk, you are an excellent writing, as I’m sure you are aware.

I would have replied earlier but getting time on this computer is a nightmare, and don’t tell me I need to get internet access for myself because I’m not at home long enough to make it worth while. So I have to fit myself around Emma, and mum, never mind it is worth it.

This leaves me breathless, you can possibly see me panting for breath now, beautiful phraseology, perfect poetic form and I really love it. I shall make it a point of looking out for you, you certainly are worth the effort of seeking you out. It’s typical of Emma to not to tell me about your writing, obviously she wanted to keep you to herself, she’s like that you know. Don’t believe her when she says she’s the younger prettier one , she’s younger yes but prettier I don’t think so, I’m the one with cachet she hasn’t got a hope

Love and warm stuff
As always

ethome- Eric ... sometimes you just go out of your way to make others feel good about themselves and that is how we all know what an honor it would be to be able to shake your hand and say thank you in person.  There are not many people with that in them any more and it has truely earned you the respect you deserve.  Thank you very much.

Tara-Those are mighty complimentary words from you and I do thank you so very much.
Stick around ... there are many many fine poets here much better than I>

Sudhir-Did ya know that I smile every time that I see your name on one of my posts?  You were one of the first poets I got to know when I came here and I have learned and enjoyed much from you.  Thank you for that and the nice reply.

Krissy- I am glad you found the flow and form of my poem enjoyable and I thank you for that.  As for the other stuff ... you don't need to tell me all that.  I am sure that those things best be left to the ones in your real life.  Thanks again for stopping by and giving such nice compliments to my poem.

Gentle Spirit- Thank you much.  Sounds like your little one has very good taste.  I was very fortunate to be able to spend about an hour with her (Lydia) on my first visit and went back a few times to indulge myself when I could.  She quickly became very important to me as I hope you can see in the pic.  Thanks again.
