( revised from one posted in Sanctuary in May 2001)

Welcomed

A stranger, I wandered into a town,
Such as I'd never seen before.
A welcome banner across the main street;
Every house with an open door.

I thought that perhaps I would need a pass,
As I gingerly stepped inside.
Would anyone notice uninvited me
And my presence would they abide?

I wondered, "Would I really be welcome?"
The party was large and quite loud.
Then some friendly folks saw me entering,
Helped me find my way through the crowd.

I stayed in that town for a year or two;
Thought I had surely found my place.
Then the mayor left and the town shut down.
Inhabitants left without trace.

My one lone friend who had stayed long with me
Grew restless, started looking 'round.
She invited me to join her in this
Lovely new place she had just found.

I quickly followed and was welcomed here;
Warmly greeted and asked to stay.
I'll be forever grateful to Trillium
For beloved friends I have today.

Cute story..lol..My old home was taken over by chaos. Eventually I stopped being one of the peacemakers and came here. I'd say this met the challenge well. enjoyed.

How grave is my condition, for I cannot find the words to say, I need you so.

Joyce:  Thank you for mentioning I had told you about Passions.  When I found the site, I knew it was too good to keep to myself! LOL  So glad you decided to become part of it.
