Faint echoes winding
in my song player recesses
Not just a catchy tune
a real one

I can tell the difference

Because it searches me out
Makes we wonder
how the notes fit so perfectly
together
to make this stream blanket
blend

They cling to me all day
making me sing them
even when I feel like hiding
quietly away

I tap the moment unfocused
upon flat surface thoughts
and hum a smile
fandango

As I can’t help, but wonder
if the dishonest, belligerent
and highly unattractive soul
in front of me
screaming
scowling
and spitting
ever hears
the song inside their head

Thats a very good question, Reg...and I have often wondered the same thing.
Isn't it amazing how sometimes we hear a song on the radio in the morning and it just stays with us all day long...

I love the poem.

(smiles) Oh Regina, this is wonderful, sweet friend, I know this feeling so so much, and not only do I get songs in my head all the time but somehow I go through many phases and get various ones in my head played, just like a radio channel! LOL! This is wonderful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Regina, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Yeppers, this is why I am a big fan of yours!
I for one believe that the song inside your head is one worth learning the words to.  Excellent writing and superb use of metaphors to capture the elegance of the write.  Well done and I truely enjoyed much.
