No Glory

She eyes the weight of the carrots
While the donkey heaves in sweat
Sings the song like a parrot
While a mouth waters for let.

Weary grows the muscles jerk
While fantasy makes dreams
Love has turned to heavy work
While buttercups grow reams.

The path is full of cobblestones
But phantoms ride on greens
And yet the pull of weary bones
Knows nothing of these dreams.

We live within a duo world
In a travelers parallel
Antimatter that unfurled
And pollutes our very well.

But eyes will see what eyes will see
And symbol carrots will ever be.

Seymour mon cher ami, magnifique, n’est ce pas? Tu ecrie cela lui tient a coeur. Padon mon cheri, j’ai palais Anglaise.

This is very very close to my heart, I can hear this inside, loud and clear.

Sometimes, oftentimes you toll the bell that rings my changes, and while the plodding thoughts of on and on jostle for position in my head I have days like this. Normally I’m off chasing sunlight and shadow, but today I’m plodding in weary track of returning back.

As always darling man You write and the world stands still to listen, wonderful writing, fabulous metaphor and stunning imagery again YOU darling boy shine bright. I love it utterly utterly utterly

Love and warm stuff

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the eathquake wind and fire

You've been people watching again
Sy-babers, there are so many clever, cool, lines of wit and word play here that all I can do is smile at your muse's wile.
The wisdom and irony of this is done subtle and classic Sy.

could those lines and metaphors be any cooler???

I stopped chasing the dangling carrot...
traded it in for raspberries and butterflies.

Seymour darling boy your words always spark in my soul you know

When weary steps seem to drag my feet
And my plans lie in hope’s defeat
When the light seems much too dim and far
I look to you as my guiding star

HIS hand is seen in your words of wise
These spark my soul to new arise
Inspiration pools in rainbow’s hue
Takes me back to the place of do

Footsteps forward lead me back again
To stand in soul’s refreshing rain
Wisdom bathes my soul I am reborn
Joy and hope awaken my morn

Marsha
Thank you Seymour darling boy your magic spark worked yet again

Seymour Hi there do you know your writing is one of the reasons I come here still? Well, it is, confidentially I thought the novelty would wear off, but your writing ensures that I will keep returning to read and reply.

Wonderful imagery again you really are an awesome writer, and I really can see this one. Its so descriptive, I wish I could write half as well, maybe you can send me some tips. x x x  If mum can send you kisses I certainly can, can’t I? You don’t really mind do you? I didn’t think you’d object but its always best to ask.

Sometimes it's a carat's karat...
sometimes it's the hold of gold
or spindly shine of diamond's "mine"
but rarely in the dream so whole...

HUGS!

Some of us chase that carrot all of our lives, Sy....
and some of us chase the karat.....in the diamond, that is...

Sy,
And the chase goes on. Here's where I say "carrots", and you're supposed to say, " What's up Doc?". Great read.
