Truth

Ghosts of butterflies tenderly sway
Swept on exscinds agendas play
Gentle winds notorious lift
Granting me a glorious gift.

Phantoms dancing on times fine line
Rhythms of rhymes that built me a shrine
Transience of a circumstance, sort
By the magic of happenstance brought

And I am slated this fine day
Held on elated wiles away
Gliding the shafts of emerald green
Where rafts of daffodils are seen.

Daffodils of a youth’s desire
Exposing ghosts of former prior.
Touching tangibles long since gone
Hearing once more eternity’s song.

Only youth hears eternity
Don’t you remember insanity?

Seymour darling heart, without fail you track the changes in my soul, your words floating free to lay in my mind like a veil of gossamer light. Oh these words of yours are exquisite, really exceptional. YOU KNOW I LOVE IT UTTERY, but of course I do.

That closing couplet is truly awesome, how do you manage to pin down these motes of pure wisdom? Well, I’m happy as long as you still do, but you realise that if you cease to provide my soul with the nourishment it so desperately needs, I shall fade away to a wraith. And you wouldn’t want that would you?

As always your writing is divine Oh Sultan of the Poet’s Night. Wonderful utterly utterly wonderful

Marsha,
Dear utterly flutterly Butterfly. As long as I can write I'll not let you down. But I expect senelity to set in any time now. That you will have to forgive.

Enchantress,
Good morning dear I'll have to write something about the rain, because it is going to rain here too.

Stinkylove, there are so many cool lines of imagery and rhyme divine in this...
such a clever write of vocab and word play,
of personification and inspiration.

how cool are these lines:

Swept on exscinds agendas play

Gentle winds notorious lift

Phantoms dancing on times fine line

Rhythms of rhymes that built me a shrine

Transience of a circumstance, sort

very very cool Sy-babes!!

and then there is the imagery of these lines:

Gliding the shafts of emerald green
Where rafts of daffodils are seen.

in just two lines you flood the readers mind with infinite color & light.
with just 12 words you paint a spectrum dreamscape full of rainbowed possibilites.

Now how cool is that
You do the rhyme...I'll build the shrine

Dear Tink,
Did you take a generous pill this morning, if you did it is working. Your comments are a gift of candy to me and I have eaten the whole box. I think I need some raspbery tea to wash it down. winkiewinkie Randy Stinky.

Seymour darling heart senile? You? Never ever, your mind is as sharp as a tack.

If there comes a time when the stars fade
When the sun doesn’t shine and all is shade
When the world stops still in time and space
And there’s no one left of the human race

If the air you breathe is full of pain and fear
While all things familiar seem to disappear
If all the truth you know becomes a lie
And whatever you do you can only sigh

If these things should all come to pass
Then time will have run out at last
But until then I need to read you still
I need your words and I always will

And it’s true I do, so darling boy if you see Father Time hobbling towards you with his sidekick Senility tell them to pass you by.

Sy

Youth does hear eternity
but youth is also foolish
wise comes later when you can recognize
the ingredients in the dish

Sorry for poor attempt to say what I mean, but I really did like your poem!

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Seymour, it is so sad but true, sweet friend, I only wish that those who have grown out of youth could always stop and appreciate the innocent beauty of the world, for if we did, the world would be a much more peaceful place and that is a white fact! (sigh) This is very well-stated, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Seymour, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
