Night's begin at day's begone,
fireflies out on the lawn,
Hide and seek; mosquito's bite,
kick the can in fading light.

Couples strolling down the street,
passing by in friendly greet,
Streetlights glowing; mothers calling,
to their children in night's falling.

Venus opens up her eyes,
as Milky Way flows 'cross night skies,
Evening's breeze sways poplar trees,
cicadas sing their symphonies.

Kansas plains in glow of moon,
on a summer's eve in end of June.

For the last three years I have often written of my little spot of nowhere on the plains of Kansas.  Next week they are going to have some type of little golf tournament here in our wee city. They say we are to be on television in 50 or 60 countries, so if you would like to catch of glimpse of my part of the world, turn in to the U.S. Women's Open and I'll be the one waving from the gallery.

I'll back, Tim!  Have a good one!  Did you see the harvest moon last night?  Full and orange while low in the sky...

The nights are great here, but I sometimes wish the days could be a bit more comfortable.  Where in KS are you?  (I am in KC) There are too many lights here to ever see the Milky Way.

How grave is my condition, for I cannot find the words to say, I need you so.
