I Can’t I can’t turn my face to you Not while this tear Hangs Trembling on my eyelashes If I move it will fall And then the others That are ready To spill, to splash To cascade Down my face In an river of regret I can’t bear to see you go Not while the heat Still rises From the touch of Your kisses Not while my lips Still tingle with fire From the contact Of your skin I can’t speak right now Not while my throat Is constricted By the truth The reality of sharing You with her The pain is holding My head still And My face turned away I can’t bear for you To kiss me Goodbye Less I taste the lies That I can see Forming in your eyes The alibis you are Concocting even now There’s no place in your life For a love that asks For truth and commitment And I can’t sleep With the lies you use As sheets Or with deception As my lover Anymore I can't Krissy And while thy willing soul transpiers at every pore with instant fires Andrew Marvell 1621-1678 [This message has been edited by Krissy (06-25-2002 05:55 PM).] |

wow, this was absolutely stirring. It makes me sad. But sometimes it's good to feel that way. You have a talent for unrhymed verse, and I hope you keep it up. |
