I have talked to the mothman
he carries your picture there
in the dead leather of his tattoos
he spoke of the trees and their wind

I have seen their bark skin dry
and heard the gasp of their tears
you were rivers of rain before
the trees call you bloodstone now

they wore their green archipelago for you
they were whelming brine colors then
now they are droughty from your scolding
wabun and mudjekeeouis bring fumes

we prayed affusion prayers
and soused the worry beads with words
there was no wool pack tundra
only the bushveld of stodgy straw

I wear napery of canvas as my armor

Read, sip coffee
read, sip coffee
think, feel, sip coffee
beg the man to write again...
read, coffee sipped

Getting scolded again are you?
You're good with your armor like
you are with your words.  I liked it
even if I don't speak the language.

Good morning, DS

You are right about the trees and land...parched and prayerful...too often they sing fire.
