Whispering Sight

Into the quiet pool of light your voice falls softly
Like a whispered dream your words caress me
I couldn’t tell we’re 5000 miles apart can you?
Not when I can gaze into your eyes of blue
My fingers brush across the screen in gentle plea
I see your lips open to receive this part of me
You smile into my eyes and my heart just flips
And my soul soars high while my pulse beat skips

Your whispers caress my ears with sibilant delight
As I sit here in the puddle of golden light
Nothing stirs there’s no one here but you and I
Nothing and no one but you to hear my sigh
You softly say those words of sweet love again
And through the night’s air I hear your pain
Our spirits are meshed in a heated embrace
While our mortal selves wait to feel desires trace

No sounds disturb us while our souls unite
Locked together our spirits fly in desire’s flight
The light that spills feels like your softest caress
As it touches my face with perfect finesse
Distance doesn’t count when your soul flies free
There’s no distance at all between you and me
Time and space mean nothing while I breathe you
And while you hold me the fire flows through

Marsha

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the eathquake wind and fire
Oh

(kiss on cheek) This is lovely, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Marsha, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Whewwww, I'm safe....my eyes are not blue...

Anyway,  I KNOW that all you want to do is
send a wench across the pond to give me
fits over my poetry.  Trying yet again to get
me to back off a little bit...

Sorry, darling girl.  But you are getting
toooooo good now for me to back off.  Sooo,
that means the pressure is on,  the ball is
in your court...and the fire is burnin'
bright over here at the edge of the big
pond.... (Magnus exits, thinking of his next
write...one that will make Mushy have fits..)

Marsha, you know I hardly ever have time to run over here to PIP. And when I do, there's too much to read. But this is definitely worth the trip. Lovely old fashioned romantic poem for the techie age(which I haven't actually entered yet!)

Marsha, sister of my heart, this is a heart throb for sure.

I have had experience with loving across miles and when your souls are connected and your love is strong, neither miles nor time nor anything else matters.

You wrote this beautifully, dear one, as you always do.

You surely made me "feel it"

Keep up the good work, darlin' girl, I think you're on a roll!!!

Marsha, don't fret about lacklustre response -- I get it all the time. It doesn't mean people don't enjoy yr poems, it just means things get lost quickly.

I'm glad this one could be found again.

As we say in Texas, "this is so romatical!"

Marsha,
What bsquirrel said is true; poems get caught in the pour of work placed on the sight.
Your poem is excellent and you knew it was you just wanted to make sure I read it.
Well it was a delight to read and you are a very talented poetess.
It’s not quite an epopee but you are certainly capable of writing one.

comes a gentle night
of a voice in lines
that binds a spirit
and stops all Time.

No day is done
no night:  complete
until we are read
between the sheets.

The power that words have:  to span infinite distance and blaze an open heart
these are words and power you have, Marsha.
They touch
they are felt

Mushy,
Yup...romantic, just as I expected! With an unrealistic approach that actually difines the depth of their life. Which come to think of it...sounds awfully close to home. Hmmmm.... Yup I thought so.

Show you care to those you love...today.

mmmm Marsha, you have brought back so many golden memories, and there is so much truth in these wonderful words.  You ALWAYS write with such beauty and truth.  Hugs from here.

Enjoy life, this is NOT a dress rehearsal.
