Word-whispers in the note she sent.
I can hear her voice in every line.
Can almost smell her rain of scent.
Can almost feel her in recline.

Word-whispers in the drugstore aisle.
Lipstick tubes in plastic hold.
Wondering which go to her smile.
Which colors to make her bold?

Word-whispers in radio drive.
Turning up a Peppers song.
Something of her, bass alive.
Something in this wait is long.

Word-whispers in moving type.
A poem made for her to read.
Something sad within this kiss.
Some small whisper of my need.

*

I love you, Lori-Anne.

These smiling eyes are just a mirror for the sun.

gawwd I love that verse.....
yer so cool when youre in love

When your own emptiness is all thats getting through,
There comes a point when youre not sure why youre still talking,
I passed that point long ago.

I thought you'd appreciate that, Butterfly Slippers. I dipped into the Serenity book of cool verse structure for that one.

Aha, I noted a similarity to a Serenity poem here, and I was right. Now isn't that cool?
Hey, this poem is fantastic.

While the humble jingler does not have the depth of understanding to truly appreciate these poetic words he does indeed like the hat.

This is so very romantic, Mr.Squirrel...
Lori is a lucky lady, indeed to have found herself such a wonderful poetic rodent.
My husband is very wonderful but he doesn't write poetry...
oh well.....
I love him dearly anyway
