Gone to Numb

There must be words I do not know
Of velvet and of pure white snow
Those play the wind like butterflies
Like skies that pinch my heart in sighs

How can I tell you how I feel?
That private alter where I kneel
And lay upon the smallest breeze
Those thoughts that give my soul a squeeze

Where can I go besides my mind?
To clear the mist so I can find
The Eden of a garden fair
A place where you are truly there

My dragon’s gone worn of wing
To mollify this shadowed thing
And I am weary of the fetch
That stretched me to a pauper wretch

I wish the words they do not come
And now my tongue has gone to numb.

I am sure I am not the only one
who daily thanks you for
writing "me" pieces...because they
touch all of us somewhere deep inside...
quote:
There must be words I do not know...

How can I tell you how I feel?...

Where can I go besides my mind?...

My dragon’s gone worn of wing...

I wish the words they do not come
And now my tongue has gone to numb.

Sunshine,
Now that is sheer flattery to give my words back to me in reply.

Stinkylove....you call this "numb"?????
Trust me my poet prince....this is so far the other side of "numb".
When the words come to you from that gifted muse of yours...me thinks you are in a higher place of grace and thats why you dont recall them when you come back down
Your "tongue may be numb"....but your pen is in rare form and I feel every cadenced kissed word.

Sy...you seem never to run out of beautiful words and you put them together so very well.

JM,
You encourage me like a little bird on a limb, to jump and fly but when I do I fall upon my face. But I promise i will continue to try and one day when I do fly I will find the magic place of words and bring you back a sack full of the most wonderful I can find. And then we can have raspberry tea and be happy. Winkiewinkie Randy Stinky

Thank you sweet Lyra you are a doll.

Sy

I felt your sad in this, but still poetry is you, even when you don't see pretty...the words you write do.

Your poetry is so full of wonderful truths
and the tilting of a beautiful heart that spills into others.

tis a pleasure Mr. Tabin~

YAY!!! Oh Seymour, I believe that that is just it about poetry, our tongues are supposed to sound numb, yet you always express yourself so well and every word that may sound like nonsense to someone is so inspirational to someone else! (big huggsssssss) This is beautiful, sweet friend, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Seymour, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

I felt the sorrow as well in these lines, probably because I can identify with them the most Sy...

"My dragon’s gone worn of wing
To mollify this shadowed thing
And I am weary of the fetch
That stretched me to a pauper wretch"

But to get myself over the sad feeling all I had to do was go back and read these again, and my spirit was once again uplifted...

"There must be words I do not know
Of velvet and of pure white snow
Those play the wind like butterflies
Like skies that pinch my heart in sighs"

I think no matter how savored we become there are always words in there somewhere to speak to our heart.  ((hugs dear friend))

There is nothing means more to me than
my faith, my family and my friends.
