blooming potato field

In colored fields I'll rest my mind
Close will it be to earth
And when I pick it up again
It's gained some of her worth

For earth is mother of all life
She's painted all mankind
So when you see a colored field
Just lay to rest your mind

Like scattered leaves...my words will flow

Time and time again I have seen colored fields and often layed my mind to rest there. This is a simple thought expressed wonderfully

Titia,
this is lovely and it makes me envious. My brother in law would love a coloured field like that it is planting season here and there in not enough rain.
Beautiful poem

Thanks to all, yes, colored fields are beautiful, lots of them here at the moment.

Keth, hope there will be rain for your brother in law's field, but I know that's a problem overthere sometimes.

Sweet Charisma, so terribly glad to see you again. Missed you dearly lady, you have no idea how much. Hope you'll share again that beautiful poetry of yours.

This poem is so relaxing, Titia....
and I love the idea of Mother Nature painting the colors...
I can just see her, with her artists brush and palette...

Oh how very much I loved this poem. And I believe your line ...'For earth is mother of all life..'  with all my heart and soul.

My husband and son went to Ground Zero in New York City and I insisted they bend down and touch the earth. It is the only way we can know the soul of life.

The picture is so peaceful and calming. Great, great job.  Hugs, Marti

Titia-
I really must hang around and read your poetry
more often.   This is beautiful, as is the photo.
Thanks for sharing both.
