~Poetry Website Addiction Disease~

Crimson nailtips fly the keys
fingered motions of plastic ease
memory burned deep into the touch
letters and words and phrases and such

the tappity-tap as poetry grows
with pretty fonts and colors, just so
the clickity-clack of thoughts on track
imaged as words of yakkity-yak

emotions of love and humor addressed
words of passion, so clearly expressed
a sickness for which there is no vaccine
a poet's addiction to words through screen

feeling those fingers tapping the keys
poetry website addiction disease
~

(giggles in delight) Oh boy, and you know just telling by my total posts on this site that I have a severe case of this onomatopoeia malaria! LOL! (kiss on cheek) This is wonderful, sweet friend, however, this symptom sure has its benefits you must admit, hehehe, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Lyra, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

I've got that!  I've got that!
You did a marvelous job with creativity here, and expressing something we're all familiar with.  I love those little yellow computer people!

Good Job!

Lyra darling girl this as always is utterly utterly excellent. I love the flow of this it is true we’re addicted, well I’m not but Krissy is and Emma just comes on here to remind us that she can.

Absolutely perfect writing I love it

I haven’t got this disease you know
I can leave here if I wish to go
But it’s true I’m drawn here yet again
To read the laughter, love and pain
I’ll admit I like to read a poem or three
I’m not addicted I’m disease free

I haven’t got the disease I’m sure
If I want to I’ll find the door
But right now I want to read this
And maybe steal a poetic kiss
I’ll go when I’m ready I really will
But not until the page stands still

I haven’t got this disease at all
I just respond to poetry’s call
But in a while I’ll leave this place
Return again to Bedlam’s race
While I’m here time seems to cease
For now I’ll absorb haven’s peace

Marsha

I love this poem, its wonderful

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the eathquake wind and fire
Oh

Lyra,
You do know if this were a terminal disease (pun intended) your diagnosis came way too late! Cute as usual.

Show you care to those you love...today.
