Fragile, handle with care!
Signpost of a heart before
a sudden lurch, a bump
caused the fall.

Tumbling,
falling from the pedestal high.
Silently dropping into
broken dreams

Dreams of tomorrow
lived in fleeting glimpses
of a mind in soft recline

Shattering on the hardness
of a soul born to grow cold
as winter’s chill descends
into the veins.

Grasping,
frail hands clinging to life’s cliff.
Echoes of a beat, frantically sounding,
crying for the clutch, the firm hand
to stop the fall of a heart in drop

Caution,
Mended hearts only...
beyond this point!

Helen...very good question....I think now,
had I taken the poem further....The sign
would have been falling down,  with bullet
holes through it...

No,  I don't think we do every truly mend..
We just go on in a slightly different set of
mind and direction..Hopefully,  having
learned along the way...

Thanx for your thoughts..

I think everyone does eventually mend. I mean, y' can't keep on going if your hearts in pieces on the floor around you.

Great poem, Magnus.

Magnus darling heart Ohhhh the beauty and the pain that aches through this it simply is incredible writing. You know how much I love your writing darling boy, for there isn’t another soul whose touch reaches so far into the soul. Why can you do this so constantly? I only know you do, there are writers whose words caress my soul, there are writers whose words descend on my soul like drifts of lace, but you always know exactly what to write to work the magic.

I love this utterly utterly utterly xxxxxxx Now write something frivilous so the wench can reply. This is awesome.

Love and warm stuff
As always

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the eathquake wind and fire
Oh

Anvrill....pleasure of meeting you here at
PiP...enjoy the moments...thanx for your
thoughts...Yes, probably we do, or at least
with a few battle scars..we go on...

Noah,  thank you my Colorado friend...may
the fires dies soon...

Mushy....

So,  you want to bring out the wench in you?

OK darling heart...come to thy knight..

For on the eve of the second morn
on the eve of the first shorn
in the moment of thy scorn
from this heart,  a wench is torn...

I don't know if the broken heart mends, or just stays partially held together with the tiniest touch of the glue called hope.
Love this,Barry.
