Faithful Bee

Butterflies flutter here and there
Landing gently without care
Pretty wings in constant flight
Decorate air with sweet delight

But for faithful and for true
You know what you have to do
Ask the bee to stop and sip
The liquid nectar from your lip

Flowers bloom in scent divine
Call the butterflies all the time
But if you want constancy
You have to call the honeybee

Butterflies are sweet I know
But they don't let the honey flow
Honey is made by the faithful bee
Come to my honey jar you'll see

Marsha

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the eathquake wind and fire
Oh

Oh this is sweet as honey, Marsha...but I really love butterflies better than bees because they don't sting.

(giggles in delight) I love bees, but I'm afraid I am with Lyra too, bees are busier workers but butterflies don't sting! (kiss on cheek) This is a wonderful and cute poem, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Marsha, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Mushy,  this was a most enjoyable and
light side of you.  Yep,  where is that
pesky little busy bee that MUST be around..??

Very well done, darling girl...

never thought of it as competition
until now
Bees vs. Flutterbyes

when the honey sauce
is heated
bees fall to their knees
and butterflies flutter by
empty handed

The bee is such a busy soul
He has no time for birth control
That is why in times like these
There are so many "sons of bees"

So that's the short and tall of it
if first I want some nectar's sip
first I need the honeybee's sing
and I can only trust to not be
the recipient of his swift sting

This is delightful!  The pics, the rhythm the rhyme.  There are a couple lines where you're long a syllable or two and in one, short one. If you want specifics, let me know.  I believe you can find them, though, you are so good at this! Then it may be the way I'm reading them, but the accents affect the beat, too, and you've set a delightful, almost fully consistant pattern.

I love how you love nature!

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.
