In Summer, when the sky is blue,
I'll sit and write a rhyme for you,
And write about my roses here,
Those flowers wich I hold so dear
Their fragrance flow from nose to nose,
Thank God that he has made the rose
She lifts her face up to the sky,
This beauty caught my searching eye
Every Summer she is there,
Climbing Shot Silk, a name so fair

Tita hi there this is really fine writing, the flow is perfect and the picture perfectly compliments the words. Ideal writing, I shall expect to see lots of pics or you mum Krissy and all the others. Some of us can’t go gallivanting off to Florida some of us have to stay behind and work. I’m not really jealous, and if you believe that you’ll believe I’m a talking pig I just wish I could go too.

This is really excellent writing

lots of love

Titia,
This poem is as beautiful as the rose.

Beautiful! Is that what the objects mixed in with the roses are, Climbing Shot Silk? They were very intriguing to me, made me think of teasel but I was sure they were softer than teasel.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,

Thank you all for your lovely replies.

Michael, you make me you sweet guy

Vas, the rose is called Climbing Shot Silk, the 'objects' you see are the seedbulbs of a clematis.
