Memories Linger

It’s been so long since you’ve been gone
But I thought those memories
Would linger on
But I find I can’t remember your face
There’s nothing left
Not even a trace
I saw your name and its memory
Didn’t stir up
Feeling of what might be
I never believed I’d forget you
But you’re gone
And the memory too

I thought at the time you’d broken me
Its stupid I know
But I felt tragedy
The touch of your hand was thrilling
My senses were alive
And my heart was spinning
Truthfully I thought I’d never be
Released from a love
That held onto me
Trapped by your smile imprisoned here
Alone and wretched
I felt passion’s fear

I’m relieved you’re back
Honestly
It’s shown me you
Don’t still hold me
The spell that you cast over me
Has disappeared
And I’m so happy
To know that you can’t touch me
Leaves me free to
Enjoy my liberty
I thought I would always know this
The taste of treachery
A betrayers kiss

Emma

Eternity, stands laughing at old time
for ages? In the grand ancestral line
Of things eternal, mounting to divine

Emma,
I am so proud of you, you have your mother's blood and your own style. I do like the way you've written this.

Oh Emma doll, this was me last summer and I couldn't have ever written it so beautifully.  I love the style hon.  I watch my own daughter writing and I never want anyone to say, she writes just like you do, I want them to say, she writes with a style all her own.  Your family is very talented, and each one with their own classy style.  Well done!!

I could have missed the pain, but I'd have had to miss the dance~~(Garth)

You are truly your mother's daughter, Emma.
I am very impressed.
This is beautifully done...
and I think that any man who tries to mess with your heart, will have his head bitten off.

Isn't that the way it works? When we go through it, it feels like an acid bath. But in time we heal, and that's good. I really like the way you express your feelings in the poem. Well done.

(big hugggssssssss) Oh Emma, this is so very sad, sweet friend, you deserve so much better than that, never let anyone hurt you that way, for you are a very loving and special person just as your mom and your siblings are and I know a slong as you follow your heart you will find it! (kiss on cheek) My thoughts are with you, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Emma, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

WOWOWOWOW!!!! Emma, you amaze me! This is great, especially from a girl whose mother said can't write poetry. What a family!
