Not That Long Ago

Yes it happened to me
not that long ago.
I met a woman I eagerly
desired to know.
And apparently she
wanted to know me.
So we endeavored to
spend some time together.
I took her out to dinner
and to movie shows.
I took her everywhere
she wanted to go.
We went walking on the beach.
We drove up to the North Shore.
She really seemed to like me and as we spent
time together I liked her even more.
I kissed her on the lips.
I touched her with my
admiring fingertips.
I fell in love with her.
Yes it happened to me
and it was not that long ago.
I met a woman I eagerly
desired to know.
