A Small Enormous Thing

It was a small enormous thing
Of little fuss a token ring
A speck of time that came to stay
As millions more just flit away.

A moment saved my life’s entire
A moth that flew into my fire
Lighting dark to fantasy
Walked with me in ecstasy.

Took my hand in warm embrace
Covered me in magic grace
Removed the cloths of weary why
Showed me places I could fly

Fell in love with rhymes I wrote
Silly words I cannot quote
Saw in me the soft of source
The blind that cannot know their loss

You opened up a lesser goal
And there I found my very soul.

A smallish moth of thought it seems
that led you to a brilliant dream
a bit of light throughout the night
and kept away the dragon's fright

a small enormous thing, you say,
to keep you writing one more day...

Seymour hi there, this is excellent writing, image laden and bright with light and butterfly’s wings which flutter in your words of hope and desire rhyme.  This is excellent. YOU are a very very good writer and this is an amazing poem. Well done, I can see clearly why both mum and Krissy seek out your writing. More please

lots of love
Emma

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the eathquake wind and fire
Oh

Oh no no ... its not a little thing ...
don't you know the joy you bring?
Like the dawn you light each day,
rhymes divine to sweep us away.

Fell for your rhymes and so much more ...
for your dragons roar and your soul's core.
Fell for your wisdom taught with tender touch
for the secrets shared that meant so much.

Fell for the poet I found between the lines ...
fell for the heart that was bound by gifted rhymes.
Fell for the man who held out his hand ...
who took me for walks upon his beaches of understand.

By you a melancholy moth learned it was ok to cry ...
You turned this tired moth into a butterfly of sigh.
So you see my sweet ... it could never be "a little thing"
with your gifted word ... you gave the gift of wing.

Building you poetic pedestals 'tis the least I can do ...
Forever grateful am I, for the view of true through you.

Sy

It is the little things that glue the twirling world and keep it from shooting into the far...it is like a smile, a wink, a twinkle.  When put together, it is as big as love.

Marsha,
You are a rose of ruby sweet.
A delight to the senses of utter complete.
Forgive the clunsy of my reply,
For I would never net a butterfly.

Keth,
Thank you my friend.

JM,
And that is about as good as I gets.
Randy's upset but I do not fret.
I'll see you in a little wile
On the sunny side of Edens isle.

Thats my job...quoting you.
you just worry bout writing them...
I'll entwine them in me moth mind

quote:
"We touch and intertwine our hearts
In transcendental revelry
And pucker up our lips in starts
That never really comes to be.

How can I pose in ghostly veil?
She is the rose my soul inhales."

From: " Ghosts Impale" Open 18

quote:
And now she cries to stay a goal
To hold him safe within her soul
And searches with the aid of rhyme
To touch once more this poets time

She comes to rest all poets flower
To sip the nectar of their power
To drink in transcendental rhyme
To touch once more now ghostly time

But he is there and I am here
And if I could I'd dry her tear.

From:"Transcendental Time" Open 18

See...I can quote you chapter and verse ...
for your rhymes are my sweetest curse.
Your words are always in my view ...
for I have a library full of you.

JM,
You simply amaze me. No sooner do I write them when they are gone. And if I don't write down the thought of the moment it is also gone. Some times I reread some of my poems and sit in wonder saying to myself did I write that. And sometime I reread the words
and feel like someone else is writing and not me. Like a ghost takes over for a short time and whispers words in my mind. Like a force is using me to write to you. Like the poem I will post tomorrow.
