Do you remember when we once lived
in the garden of our love
A place where our hearts
were always in full bloom
and our love seemed to have no end

That same garden now lies barren
void of color and life
Our vine of passion has now wilted
and love has gone to seed
taken with the wind
and blown away like dust

Our once beautiful garden
is now overgrown with weeds
and the gate which once lead
to our Garden of Eden
now creaks on rusty hinges

Maybe the warm Summer winds
will send a new love my way
planting a seed within my heart
that will bloom and grow

I long for the day
when love will once again fluorish
and my heart will become
the centrepiece of love's bouquet

WOW Sue, that line is wonderful.  May all your dreams come true quickly!!  Hugs.

I could have missed the pain, but I'd have had to miss the dance~~(Garth)

Hey there, Sue.....You keep confusing us...
Are you happy and in love or are you sad and lonely?
either way, your poetry is beautiful

Thank you all for your lovely comments.

Lyra - I am so sorry for confusing you, I guess I am just spreading my wings as far as my writing goes and it can be a mood thing sometimes.  Just to let you know I am very happy in my life and have been married to Andrew for 14 years.  We are the best of mates and I am a very lucky woman.

Take care.....Sue

(smiles) Oh Sue, I am so happy you explained your feelings to Lyra just now in your comment, for I too was worried at first and I am so happy it was just a stretch in theme! (kiss on cheek) I wish this loves joy to always fill your heart, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sue, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Everything better be just fine....or I am
gonna have to fly down there and sit him
down and make him read all of your poems
over and over again...until he figures out
that there is a very loving woman in his
life....

So there! (grins)
