The Shores of Alone

0 posted 2002-06-21 03:18 PM

Take me away, I beg you take me now
no longer can I live here all alone
sweep me into the land where love resides
to places magic I have never known.

So many dreams of beauty  that I have
though rarely found-most often tossed aside
if you would help me now to get away
it would go far to cure the tears I've cried.

Take me, within you is the power real
to help a lost one find her way again
it's not to late to find our life anew
though I must wait until your heart says when.

Take me, together we can rule the world
we two, the mysteries of life unfurled.

the need, the longing is so evident in this and you wrote it so wonderfully.  Hugs to you hon.

Were Thee a gift so rare
to keep in treasure lock
'Gainst the stroke of hair
on chime of lover's clock

To covet Thee beautiful
to cherish Thee so grand
to the starlight bountiful
above this promised land

Be careful Sandra,  keep writing this
longing poetry....and you might get your
wish....  meanwhile,  I will just give
you poetic smiles....

I can't imagine that you are really that longing/lonely. You do, however, understand it well, and write of it beautifully.

  I much enjoyed this one.
