She & He She and He, the pair they be He whistles to her clicking Like a pair of aquatic loves Close by her side he’s sticking The captain of the sailing craft Said “now keep a close eye for The dolphin and his mate as They rarely come to shore, But watch for their silvery fin And their bottle-nose, If’n we’re lucky, come this day, We’ll see a pair up close.” With fingers crossed, hope in heart, I prayed to see them play A lovely dolphin and his mate, And to hear them click away  Come they did, up to the sloop, A dolphin and his mate I think I see the loving there A natural sort of state He nuzzled her, then raced to win A game they seemed to play Then he let her win a round As she let him have his way To glide in water silky smooth ‘neath the sun and sky in one’s own slip-liquid world then to catch a dolphin’s eye you know their grin shall follow you to lift your heart the whole day through [This message has been edited by Sunshine (06-21-2002 02:17 PM).] |
