Bone dry spirits
Devoid of moisture
Lips crack in needs
Hallucinated urges

Cactus needle skin
Punctured with dust remains
A hundred and ten and rising
No speed to get away

Limbs cracking like rocks
Splitting mummies open
In shells of haunting screams
A thousand years gone by

Sand shifting time
Spiraling questions of uncertainties
Grave robbers of science fiction
Wearing masks of deceit

Treasures to some
History to others
Wrapped in the mystery
Hidden in wailing walls
Cemented in after life
