Rough road ahead
A sign of things to come
Warning of impending trepidation
Got to get an all terrain mind

Driving myself, the roadblocks
Are in the mind others
Who saturate me in doubt
Drowning me before I forge the river

Who says where success is
Some successful people
Never reach their final goal
Getting lost in a never ending desert

Sometime the obstacle reappears
As a tournament foe
Or an impossible climb
Observe and conquer

You await the battle
There is no turning back
For only one will win the exhaustion
Leaving deeper bruises on one, sometimes fatal

Intertwining needs
As youthful students needs to be coached
The coach needing the drive to refill his tank
Both carry the impossible load of success

The mirror of steel reflections
Can shine so proud the sunshine is captured
Yet a sea of rust will wave its tail
A demon that pits you against yourself

Reincarnated success will change the terrain
Of your past accomplishments
Striving for smaller obstacles
But all so important to move ahead

Solitude
Looking at a formidable landscape
Exhilarates the climber of determination
They long for the view of accomplishment

Perseverance
The power to drive you farther
Sometimes with only your will
To get over the next hill

Writing in tears that shine
My perseverance lies in setting free the words
In the solitude of merging them
In the music in you

This is so good, especially:
"Got to get an all terrain mind"
That line rocks!
