The Shores of Alone

0 posted 2002-06-19 07:47 AM

I miss him when I wake up every morn
I miss him as I sleep each night forlorn
the absence never feels alright to me
this life without him denies fantasy.

I miss him as I put my lipstick on
no one to kiss at end of day so long
I miss him as I dress in lacy things
although he'll never see what I would bring.

I miss him, will I never see his face?
I miss him, love that time cannot erase.
How to bear knowing that it's really true
and there is simply nothing I can do.

A vacancy where there should be a home
I miss him, every day I feel alone
Amnesia now would seem the kindest way
forgetfulness of he who would not stay.

I miss him but it's all a hopeless case
a love of ages come to naught but waste.

This may seem hopeless, I agree ....
but a waste? ... never ... these are lessons well earned, sad but true.

To miss this much is to have truly loved ...
To have this much is to be truly loved in return.

missing always seems like waiting. . . doesn't it???

you know that I like the words. . . even when they're sad. . .

(BIG HUGGSSSSSSSS) Oh Sandra, know that we all do know how you feel and care so very much, everything will turn out in the end and I know soon you will find a  true love your heart will have forever then this pain will be gone because the amnesia of love overcomes all! (kiss on cheek) This is heartachingly beautiful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sandra, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

You know that I still find myself missing women that were in my life over ten years ago...but the desire and pain diminish as the years pass.
Sometimes by accepting basic truths we are able to let go...
Such as have they gone on with their lives...
Have they found someone new...
Do they still call us or think of us...
Obviously it takes two people for any relationship to work...
And it is impossible to hold onto someone that wants to go on with their life...James

Sandra...this is a lovely, but very sad poem...
If you didn't miss him, your life might be less painful, but its that pain that makes you a deeper person....and such a wonderful poet,

Hello Sandra

This was so beautiful yet so very sad.  I could almost feel you pain and I hope love adorns your heart before too long.

Take care.......Sue
