Listening to every heart

Somehow, It’s Like This

Do you remember them,
Your friends of want,
They held your hand
When boys’ teasing and taunts
Grew to be too much?
They came with hugs,
Advice and touch,
And then gave heart tugs,
But regardless of
All of their cheer,
Somehow, someway,
A cat appears…

Your friends showed concerned,
When your heart was broke,
And in little girl style
You all sat and spoke; and
Ponytails and shaggy bangs
Were all part of this
Little girls’ gang
As somehow they helped
Chase away your fears
But though reason unknown,
A cat appeared…

It can be just like that,
You know
You might be given such
A great blow
Your friends then all rally round
Your feeling of lost,
Is once again found,
For you’re not alone
After all
And just like that
You stand tall
When somehow, someway,
A cat appears

And in this little cat’s
All-seeing eyes
She took it in, and
Quickly surmised
That a purr or two,
Or tears hid in fur
Can make one feel
A bit reassured
The other girls knew
And let the cat be
For it circled complete
Trusting harmony.

(smiles) Ooohhhhhhhh..I love kittens and cats so so much, ooohhhhhh...I just think they are one of the most adorable friends to us all and have emotions that are similar to ours! (sigh) Who says a black cat crossing in front of you means bad luck, I feel they only want you to see them to know how you feel and that they care! This is wonderful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Karilea, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

I don't relate well to all of the closeness
young friends have...but I sense it to be
a very wonderful part of growing up.  And
the soothing ability of a cat...absorbing
the pain, while giving and accepting love
so freely...

Thank you KJ...you are doing very well with
your photog additions to your arsenal of
poetry...

Yes... it is. *S* There are times I don't think I would have survived... if not for my fur-covered life preservers. *S*

Karilea

Cats indeed know about such things.  You brought me some sweet memories with this.

Cats are so comforting, Karilea...
just stroking and petting a cat can actually lower your blood pressure...
I miss mine terribly....but I don't think I want another one because the bad thing about pets is losing them.
I love your poem and the photo...

And no sooner does a cat appear than, TA-DAAA, ol' Kitty Kicker comes to the rescue!

Actually, I love this poem, Karilea.  Not so much for the cat part, but the part about how girls can be so supportive and close.  I guess I like the cat part, too.  This is another keeper.

Kari darling heart sister this is utterly utterly perfect the ultimate depiction of girls and their closeness, how they comfort and collaborate to make you whole again.

As for the cat most definitely it is the perfect addition to this delightful piece from you.
I love it utterly utterly

Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the eathquake wind and fire
Oh
