Another day has come and gone.
The moon is in full view.
I lie in bed and marvel at
The beauty that is you.

I touch your cheek with gentle hand,
Smile as my fingertips
Trail slowly down to rest upon
The fullness of your lips.

Angelic in repose you are.
Your face sets off a glow
That only lovers who can give
Their all will ever know.

Your eyes, your ears, your nose, your lips
Your cheeks, your brow, your hair
Combine to make a masterpiece
I find beyond compare.

Although your face in stillness lay
I see it as you smile
I see it as you face the day
In your own pixie style.

I see it as you frown at all
Injustice you may find
I see it take angelic tones
When you're just being kind.

I see it as the teardrops fell
When sadness came to call
I see it pensive, lost in thought,
I see it rise and fall.

I think back to the golden days
I thought would never pass
When fingers slid down silky skin
Instead of hardened glass.

Our lives were filled with memories
Impossible to keep.
I gently lay your picture down
And cry myself to sleep.

This is an awesome poem, Michael...and I was very surprised by the sad ending.
I have been through that very feeling and it hurts so very much...

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Michael, this is so very beautiful but all so sad, sweet friend, I know how you feel because I am in love with the most beautiful girl I could dream of, Joanna, and we may see each other this summer but yet I am worried I may not get to see her somehow and I know if I don't get to I will feel so heartbroken because I love her so much! (sigh) I hope everything is alright now and true love fills your heart, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Michael, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

’Deer dearest heart what can I say except this is awesome in it’s beauty and power this is definitely one of your best, truly utterly wonderful.

Superb writing with utterly beautiful lines of wonder, as always darling heart when you write the universe stands in awe and reads the words of brilliance.

There ought to be, by rights, a by-law on the statue books of PiP’s ordering you to repost at least three classics a month. That way we would have beauty revisited on us often and wouldn’t have to seek it out. Not that seeking it out is a chore it’s not but I’m sure I’m not the only one who loves the immediacy of the current forum.

You know this is utterly utterly perfect I love it love it love it, beautiful writing as only the master craftsman knows how.

May I say...each time I read your work now, I feel I am in the room with you as if you are reciting it and it makes the experience of your craft so much more wonderful Michael.  As it was with this piece.  It brought a tiny tear, as I could so relate to a picture in my room of a dear friend, and I too say goodnight to her and go to sleep each night.

There is nothing means more to me than
my faith, my family and my friends.

’Deer hi there again, this is so beautifully written, and I hadn’t read it, like mum I think there ought to be a by-law that requires you to re-post at least three a month. How could reading you ever bore anyone? If they were I’d seriously doubt their intelligence. Truly, they wouldn’t be in here reading and replying if their judgement were that seriously impaired, so re-post please. There are a lot of newbies you know, but the ‘old timers’ who’ve been here a while would welcome the chance to read them all again. Of course you might ask how a relative newbie knows how the old members would enjoy reading you over again, and I would reply, I know quality when I see it, and you write quality.

As this is and everything else you’ve ever written

lots of love

Yanno, Deer One... I wasn't here for the grand opening of these blue pages... but I moseyed in as fast as I could waddle. *G* And I've been known to lurk around your website and the archives... so I don't think I've missed many of your masterpieces. *S*

That was just the prologue... I'm just getting started. LOL

I don't think I've ever quite understood the concept of reposting by request... for if someone is requesting it they obviously have read it and can read it in its current location. *G* That said, there are poems that should be posted again based simply on their merits... and almost any one of yours would qualify. *S*

These forums move much too rapidly for us to even keep up... a new person doesn't stand a hope of having time to go through the archives, digging for treasures. *S* And even the most loyal of us are going to miss something, no matter how hard we try not to.

Conclusion (Yeah, I do eventually wind down *G*) When you think it's time to bring one out for another round, please do so. And if you need a specific request, could you consider this an ongoing one? *S*

Excellence is welcome at any time... I have favorite books I revisit often and never tire of them. I'm still waiting for your poetry in book form (hint, hint *G*)... but it qualifies for that category. *S*

Epilogue... I love this poem... and wouldn't have had to write nearly as much if I hadn't been sniffling... *S* (There's logic there... somewhere. *G*)

OH Dear me Balladeer
I just got a sudden chill
these words are so moving
and filled with so much feel.

Once again your pen amazes me
with such emotion from your pen
and I can't help come back to read
over and over I read again.

So promise that you'll never quit
writing your awesome words
for you truly have a gift
the kindest heart I've ever heard.

LOVE THIS......so glad it was requested and reposted!!!!!

’Deer hi there, I may be last of the clan to reply but I’m not the least. This is really amazing writing, you have such an ability to paint the scene. I could tell you that this had me crying and it did which proves what an amazing writer you are.

And I add my request for re-posts frequently, if you do need a reason, you shouldn’t but if you did, you could say that its because now I have to share this with Emma and Mum I miss so much, and I haven’t got time to root around the archives. any excuse So please re-post as often as you can.

You do know this is really superb writing don’t you? I hope you do because it really is
