Rages of Sages

Oh the rages of sages
written on pages
with fonts full of rhyme
and image of time

the musings of poets
in magic they show it
with fantasy art
which flows from the heart

and feelings from soul
in intimate scroll
scribblings of mind
with passions entwined

of real and of dreams
of giggles and screams
which jump from the pages
of sages with rages
~

Lyra, even I don't know what I am thinking when I look at the art work - I know what you are saying, I understand that, but this one touches deep, and I guess the profound feeling I have will simply have to be expressed as a mere thank you, not enough, mind you, to share with you the feeling I have for this...but it will have to do until I find more...

Lyra,  you have pretty well nailed it.  I
think most of us have experienced most of
each moment, emotion, feeling that you have
here....

Only you could pen it this well...

Lyra, I just love reading your words and of late the pictures you add enhance them so much. God bless you for your talent. Marti

Lyra,
You have more fun with rhyme than anyone I know. This is well done and has a deep meaning too. You're good!

Julie...Thanks so much for your reply..
This one was so much fun to write.
Usually I write them over and over...and I let them sit overnight and read them again in the morning before I post them because I always have tons of changes to make.
I write them and then I re-write them until they're perfect.....
but this one, just rolled right out of my head and I posted it as it was...
I'm glad you liked it.

Thanks so much, Paul...these words actually rolled right out of my head...believe it or not.
Usually, I write and then re-write my poems over and over again before posting them...
I have whole notebooks filled with poems and sometimes one poem will take six pages of re-writes just for a subtle change...
but this one...just rolled right out.
I'm glad you liked it.

Thanks so much, Karilea...I'm glad you enjoyed the poem...it is probably one of my favorites of my own also...
the picture is one which I got from...Webshots....I think, or someplace like that.  I don't know exactly what it means either...but I thought it was a cool picture and represented to me...abstract thinking.
Incidentally, I discovered, after writing this poem...that Webshots has a whole category called "mind scribbles" just like in my poem....but their "mind scribbles" didn't seem to go with this poem.

Thanks so much, Mr.Squirrel...
I have been back for a while now...
Since the second week of May...after I finished being burned by radiation.
I think we just kept missing each other because of posting at different times...and I know you were away for a while also.

I might be away for a few days again next week because I'm having another biopsy on Monday, and if I'm in a lot of pain, I'll be gone for a few days...otherwise I'll be back sooner
BTW....at last check, the cancer was gone...this biopsy is to confirm it....and I am so scared to get the results...and I will have to wait a whole 8 days for them.......

Please say a prayer for me......

Hey hey Munk-Ster Lady!
boy did you nail in one fail-swoop
the emotion emoted from poets
and the drive that compels to write!

(read your reply about your biop's coming:  best wishes, Lyra,
sheesh...you have gone thru so much, Gal, and i wish you well
with lots of hope, love, and faith.)

Thanks so much, Jeff...
In my heart and in my soul, I know the cancer is gone...I have tried to visualize it and I can't see it anymore...
but I am still very very scared...not of the surgery itself, this will be my third one like this....but of those results for which I must wait a full 8 days......
thanks so much for your prayers and thoughts.

Thanks so much, Eric...Its so funny how this one just rolled right out of my brain...
I didn't even have to make any changes...
that almost never happens.

Thanks for your reply, Martie...
I know I have missed some of yours also and also some of the other poets whom I try never to miss....but its very hard because there are so very many of us here...

I hate it when I miss a couple of days and then I have to scramble to catch up and read all of the beautiful poetry I've missed.

I missed being here, during the entire last month of my radiation treatments because I was so sick....and I missed everyone so very much.  One night, David brought his laptop computer into the bedroom for me to use in bed, but I was so exhausted, I couldn't even read anything.

When my treatments were finished and I was still tired but getting stronger, he actually brought my whole computer into the bedroom for me to use because he didn't want me to have to come in here and sit in my computer chair....and it was so wonderful to be back here.  I hope I never have to leave again...but of course, everyone has times when they have other things to do....

It looks like I'm chattering a bit much here... so I'll just say...thank youu.
