The Shores of Alone

0 posted 2002-06-18 12:15 PM

(Just got back from 2 days at a lovely beach in Maine)

I ride upon the winds of ocean deep
insatiable, my soul the sea must keep
I wander under stars close to the moon
and ponder if my lover's coming soon.

Waves crash upon the sands of perfect love
and dreams which never shall be certain of
while seagulls flaunt their joy upon the sand
there's nothing I can do to understand.

Take me unto the deepest waves of blue
for life without is nothing I can do
and starlights touch upon my open heart
would show that we should never be apart.

Lost moments which can never be regained
though thoughtfulness will aways be the same
while longing never gives my soul a rest
still tides do flow and life must pass this test.

Sandra, don't you so enjoy
when your muse comes, AND goes
on vacation with you...
and all you bring back is a wonderful
tan and some deep inspire?

~Sandra, I often sit by or walk along the ocean and hear things, if you listen close enough it's whispers will find your ear,...you seem to have been. This is beautiful, tender, and so full. I'm pleased to have read it. Take care you. *Peace.

Sandra,
I haven't been to Maine in many years...this poem took me back to a dark and rocky beach that was being pummeled by a great purple beast of an ocean.
Under all of the angry foaming froth, and the train wreck impacts, you could hear the deep throated roar of a very serious lion.
I was happy to return, for awhile.

(kiss on cheek) This is so touching, sweet friend, we all love you so much, by the way, I got your e-mail and will tell you all about my vacation, you can tell me about Maine too, YAY, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sandra, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Sandra
This is a beautiful poem!   Your muse was really active while you were away.
These lines are dynamite!

beautiful images kissed in your gift of cadence...
Id say the ocean was indeed speaking to your muse...this is lovely in its emote as well as its seascape scenes...like a poetic postcard...
well done poetess.
