Nature's Own Decor

Sun weaving through the morning woods
lights up the forest floor
swaths of gold and shadows, green
nature's own decor

scarlet passions, daybreak glow
spirits newly formed
burnished light of morning sun
embrace the day, newborn

creatures stir awake from sleep
eyes open to first light
shaking off the slumberdust
behold the joyous sight

through thick of forest greenings
shafts of light unfold the new
wrapping vistas, leafy full
in damp of morning dew
~

Ah but you have been peeking in my backyard again! This describes to a "T" my morning walk Lyra.  The greenbelts around here all look like this in the morning, and every morning they still amaze me, as does this poem.

There is nothing means more to me than

Such a serene scene you have penned and it reminds me of the place I walk. With all the rain we have had of late - green does not begin to describe the colors. I love the picture also. Hugs, Marti

Lyra,
this is a beautiful poem, and I so admire the way you do the picture. Marsha told me how to do them once, but it was too complicated for me.

(smiles) Oh Lyra, this is soooooo beautiful, sweet friend, I just love looking through the greenway when the sun comes up, it is so relaxing and the sunset always seems to repeat that interlude! (kiss on cheek) This is wonderful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Lyra, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Thanks Sharon...I wrote the poem for this picture because it looks a lot like my backyard looks right now...especially with that shaft of light coming from behind the tree.

Hey....get back here....we miss you.

Thank you, Nan...Its easier to learn how to do the pictures when someone is standing right by your side and telling you what you are doing wrong, so you can correct it.
David has been a tremendous help to me with the graphics....
If you come to visit me in Michigan, I will show you how to do them in person.

Thanks so much, Michael...We were sitting out on our deck, this afternoon...listening to a chorus of chipmunks...but the forest is so dense right now, that we can't see them.

Thanks so much, Suthern...
When I saw that picture, I actually re-wrote this poem to fit.
Its an old poem from years ago, and it really needed some rehabilitation...
glad you enjoyed
