In Memory Of My Father... (Warren "Newie" Alexander Wallace (1933-1994)

The Day It Rained

Some people saw the sun that day
But, for us true darkness fell hard our way
We know, God, you took what was righteously yours
So, the day it rained was the day it poured...

It feels so sad to close our eyes when tomorrow you won't be near
And, it feels so empty to say to God how we wish you could be here
It's through strength somehow that has seen us through
That in spite of our rain we know God's smiling at you...

We really can't tell you what these years have been
And, words can't explain the storms we've lived in
So, sometimes when we need to feel you around
We take our good memories to the brightest star found...

Each night you'll find us staring beneath that sky
Because, those who love you will always cry
If you can hear our wish you'll see we wish life was the same
But, for now we pray for the end of this lifetime rain....

Through these years we feel how we are making it is wrong
Because, each day we hear the sound of you gone
But, there is only one thing that you didn't do
The day you left you forgot to take us with you...

We never knew lonely could be this hard
When your eyes and your face are just too far
Could you ask God for us to take away this pain?
Because, it's been pouring since the day it rained...

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Saunni, this is so very sad, sweet friend, I know this loneliness so very much for my bird Colonel Mustard died, my only pet, and my only close friend that lives close to me Randy has moved on to the National Guard, and now I anxiously wait to meet Joanna and have the happiest times with her! (kiss on cheek) This is wonderful, sweet friend, my thoughts are with you, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Saunni, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Noah, thanks for reading this. It means a lot. I am sorry for your losses, very sorry. I know you wait to be with Joanna and I know how it feels to want something so much that is out of reach, whether temporary or for always. Be well

These are beautiful expressions from your heart...I hope the pain has eased just a little more as the days pass and smiles have returned to your face...James
