It's a project that sticks out
like a sore thimb, I think
when energy is needed
at the cost of relocated people
I know the story
as hydro lines pass through farm lands
of my county without the knowledge
of the people that live there.

Projects that stick out
they refuse to get covered
dumped into the dustbin of historical accounts
you and I are the accountants
we try to balance our books
and the state imposes its own
to the wiles of the conglomerates
lush offices force emaciated residents
to move to new lands with little compensation.

Relocate is the poker chip of the game
and when you are the weaker,
you do as told
except for a handful of activists
who decry the project as a shambles
when results of other projects are inferior
and lands are still poorly irrigated
how can humanity not cry fowl and take a stand?
