Open Poetry 21,
Boy it's been a while,
I can't believe I've been gone so long.
I have really missed your style.

Through the days, they've turned to months,
I've lost some inspiration.
Though I've tried to write some stuff,
I've ended with perspiration.

I've missed the talent within the lines,
The friends that mean so much.
Life has turned the pressure up,
I've lost my writer's touch.

I'm trying now, to find the words,
To write what's lingered long.
Within the deepest parts of me,
To listen to my song.

I used to walk these corridors,
Every single day.
I used to read each word you penned,
A tear shed along the way.

Now I'm lost in everyday,
My writing set aside.
I hope to read a word or two,
To ingite my ebbing tide.

So here I am, my poet friends,
Remembering the past.
Tell me am I lost to you,
Or embraced again at last?

It is so good to be home again. Thankyou all for your support.

Marg, Martie, Kethry, Nan and Mike your faces are like home to me.

Mike....It is me..lol. Life has taken me a on a bit of whirlwind here. As my kids get older, my schedual gets crazier. I have missed you just as much my dear friend.

Hi Marilyn, I've not known you before, but reading your poem it seems of no relevance because in your words I recognize a friend.

Er...I did say that right, didn't I????
