Do you know the special time,
just before the dawn,
When parents sleep and children dream
of fairies on the lawn?
As dark and light in silence meld,
at start of night's retreat,
And creatures of the day await,
pink blush of sun's first greet.
What if one could stand cacooned
within that special time?
Forces of both night and day
enwrapped in joy's sublime,
Within the fields elysium,
no fear of shadow's bite,
Without the pain of searing sun,
on wings of angel's flight,
But, alas, comes forth the day,
with passing of the night,
And special time's of joys sublime,
are lost to day's first light.

This is stunning Tim and so captures the time between dark and dawn.

What a lovely peaceful feel to this. Of course, I know those kind of moments can happen in the waking hours...but the edge of fantasy that can occur in the dream world is a lovely moment to ponder.  Enjoyed this poem immensely!

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

~Can't believe I found this,...I just love it! -- That secret, precious time between the two, you've captured it wonderfully,...you've stirred in me the rushings of it all, the wonder and magic of this world. Thank you. *Peace.
